My 6th Year Wedding Anniversay

Today marked the 6th Iron Years of my wedding anniversary... but yet I always think my marriage life is still a long-long way to go... hahaha...

Must be wondering what is 6th Iron Year....

Here I am going to share out the meaning of year of your wedding anniversary celebration where I have gone thru...

1st anniversary - Paper
The first wedding anniversary is traditionally celebrated by just the couple. No matter what your circumstances are, there is no reason to overlook this day. There are many ways you could celebrate, whether you will be staying home, having a bit of a getaway or having a picnic by the lake.

2nd anniversary: Cotton
Keep it simple on your second wedding anniversary: spend it tucked up in crisp, fresh cotton sheets. Or splash out on a second honeymoon.

3rd: anniversary: Leather

For your third, what about a leather-bound photo album or wallet with something to spend inside? Plus Jimmy Choo makes leather shoes…

4th anniversary: Linen

How about some lovely new bedlinen or cushions for your bed?

5th anniversary: Wood

In Wales, elaborately carved wooden 'lovespoons' have been given for centuries. The term 'spooning' - meaning 'romancing' - originates from this Welsh tradition. An alternative gift to each other could be a romantic vsit to a log cabin!

6th anniversary: Iron

In his famous diary, Samuel Pepys (1633-1703) writes of going home 'to be merry, it being my sixth wedding night'. PS a tip for your sixth: a steam iron is NOT a romantic gesture!

Till then my this year wedding anniversary is the 6th year but I am celebrating it happily with my hubby & my cute lil girl... looking forward for my 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th... and more years to come... :P

Rest in Peace my beloved 2nd Aunt

My 2nd Aunt passed away yesterday morning, I just couldn't believe it when my mom told me.
In my mind I was just hoping she is still alive and being able see her again unfortunately not. The god want her to be with and wanted her to end her life journey in earth where she is in heaven with god.
She will always in our mind with her sweet smile and nice person she is. We will never forget her.
Rest in peace. We will love you always.

Unhappy Day...

I am so sad of what happen today... Went to see my 2nd aunty as she is not in a so good condition due to cancer. Seeing her lying on the chair in the living hall at her house using the oksigen to breathe that make me even painful to see her. She look at me with a smile although she is so hard to breathe that makes me cry.
Looking at her today and last weekend is so much different as this week she is getting weaker and having difficulties to breathe. I was holding her hand and my sudden feeling of heartache which my tears follow can't control. Why does the world so cruel to treat her like that she is such a nice & caring person.
Anyone who is reading my blog, please help me to pray for her.

Arghhhh... Chicken Poxzzz

About 3 weeks ago, my hubby got 'chicken pox' and thanks god that I already got it since I was 5 years old and I need to take care of him. It was tiring of taking care a chicken pox patient. They do not have appetite and always want to sleep. My hubby told me that he have lost about 3 kg for the past 2 weeks of chicken pox. So nicez can diet and lost 3kg easily hor...
A bit of the history and information which manage to dig out from my experience where this is a highly contagious illness which caused by primary infection. Generally it will start from a non-stop fever and then with a vesicular skin rash appearing in tow or tree waves, mainly starts from the head to the toe. It will become itchy but remember those who kena kenot scratch ya or else u will leave mark forever in your body.

During the 'pox' time, for Chinese, they have a lot of 'pantang larang'. You cannot fried fish in the house and meet up stranger if not the pox patient will get very itchy. There is one traditional method that everyone is using drinking coconut water as it will cool down your body. Beside the coconut water, you have to drink one type of chinese herb which called 'ling yeong sai kok' where it helps to cool down your body as well, I have no idea what in English called but you can get it from the "Chinese Sinseh" Kedai Runcit.
Chicken pox may comes in any season but normally people say is during 'durian' season. But I personally feel it will comes anytime as long as your body is too heaty (ie eat too much of fried stuff, durian etc...) this is one of the major cause of the pox comes out from your body.
But no worries, the pox thingy will comes out from your body once in a lifetime, however based on my grandma advise that even after you have got well from your pox you will have to 'pantang' not eating all type of bean (ie. peanut, green bean, long bean etc...) where they belongs to "BEAN" family for 3 months/100 days. If not then u will get the 2nd time chicken pox, do you believe that? But never say you don't believe it, coz sometimes is true.
BTW, do you know the history of chicken pox. Here is the history of the chicken pox where I have plug from one of the website.
HISTORY OF CHICKEN POX
Chickenpox was first identified by the Muslim Physician, Muhammad ibn Zakariya ar-Razi (865–925), known to the West as "Rhazes", who clearly distinguished it from smallpox and measles Giovanni Filippo (1510–1580) of Palermo later provided a more detailed description of varicella (chickenpox). Subsequently in the 1600s, an English physician named Richard Morton described what he thought a mild form of smallpox as "chicken pox". Later, in 1767, a physician named William Heberden, also from England, was the first physician to clearly demonstrate that chickenpox was different from smallpox. However, it is believed the name chickenpox was commonly used in earlier centuries before doctors identified the disease. There are many explanations offered for the origin of the name chickenpox: Persian name: "آبله مرغان" literally means chickens (birds) pox;

Samuel Johnson suggested that the disease was "less dangerous", thus a "chicken" version of the pox; the specks that appear looked as though the skin was pecked by chickens; the disease was named after chick peas, from a supposed similarity in size of the seed to the lesions; the term reflects a corruption of the Old English word giccin, which meant itching.

As "pox" also means curse, in medieval times some believed it was a plague brought on to curse children by the use of black magic.

During the medieval era, oatmeal was discovered to soothe the sores, and oatmeal baths are today still commonly given to relieve itching.

PREVENTION
A varicella vaccine was first developed by Michiaki Takahashi in 1974 derived from the Oka strain. It has been available in the U.S. since 1995 to inoculate against the disease. Some countries require the varicella vaccination or an exemption before entering elementary school. Protection is not lifelong and further vaccination is necessary five years after the initial immunization.

In the United Kingdom, varicella antibodies are measured in women with no history of the disease as part of routine prenatal care. By 2005 all National Health Service personnel had determined their immunity and been immunized if they were non-immune and have direct patient contact. Population-based immunization against varicella is not otherwise practiced in the UK. It is feared that there would be a greater number of cases of shingles in adults, until the vaccination was given to the entire population—because adults who have had chickenpox as a child are less likely to have shingles in later life if they have been exposed occasionally to the chickenpox virus (for example by their children). This is because the exposure acts as a booster vaccine.
So, drink more water and eat healthy...

Your RM5 can make a difference...Please Help......

I came across this from a friend of mine who circulating by email to me. The father in the picture is his primary school mate. This is also reported in Sin Chew Daily (Chinese newspaper with largest circulation in Msia) as well as circulating via email. Please help... Your RM5 can make a difference to this baby & family...

Would You Do That?
Loke Kai Xin was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia when she was three months old and a Kasai procedure (hepatoportoenterostomy) was done way back in February 2009. Unfortunately, the procedure did not cure her condition and she was advised to go for a liver transplant as her last and only option.

Due to under weight, she was advised by UM Specialist Centre (UMSC), Malaysia to seek medical help from Singapore. After the first pre-assessment at National University Hospital of Singapore (NUH), both parents were found to be suitable candidate donors for Kai Xin. Both parents were in NUH on 1st of June 2009 for the second pre-assessment to confirm and determine their suitability to be the donors.

The total cost including post-operations and follow up is expected to be around RM500K which is equivalent to 200K Singapore Dollars (pre-assessment, liver transplant, post operations, follow ups & etc) or more due to her age.

This amount is just too expensive for them to bear in full; therefore they are appealing for your help. Follow the latest progress at: http://kaixindevelopment.blogspot.com/

A fund has been set-up for Kai Xin with the following bank account details. For those who are keen, kindly deposit your donations (cash or cheque) in favour of:

Maybank
Name: Loke Kai Xin
Maybank Berhad A/C No.: 1-14013-213313Note:
* If you are transfering via ATM or Maybank2u, you will see the name Lee Huey Jing appearing
for confirmation instead.

Yayasan Sin Chew
The plight has been highlighted by Sin Chew Jit Poh on 15 June 2009. You can donate via Sin Chew Jit Poh by:

1. Issue a cheque to Yayasan Sin Chew.
2. Behind the cheque, please state beneficiary name's, in this case, Loke Kai Xin; and donor's
details ie. Chinese/English name, NRIC, address and contact number.
3. Yayasan Sin Chew will mail the donor the official receipt for the contribution after clearance of
the cheque. For cash donations, receipt will be issue immediately.4. Send or submit your
cheque to : Yayasan Sin Chew
No. 19 Jalan Semangat, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan
Yayasan Sin Chew opens from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.For enquiry, please contact: 03-79658888/79658675 (Yayasan Sin Chew).Yayasan Sin Chew will facilitate the contributions received and will liaise directly with the hospital on the payment of the costs. In the event there is any excess after the payments have been made, the balance of the donations received will be channeled to other charity.

Let's see how many RM5 are needed to reach RM500,000/= The total amount of donation received up to now is RM38435/= We still need RM461565/= (500000-38435). Therefore, we need 92313 people more who are willing to donate RM5 each to MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

I don't want to be like maid.....

Life for a working housewife is quite tiring and boring. Being a fulltime working mom aka wife is tremendously tiring especially when just came back from work. The only time that can have rest is only Saturday/Sunday but which is not really resting.

Now I do really understand why does each family do have a MAID. How I wish that I do have a maid so she can help me to do all the housework. Wait.. wait.. wait.. before considering to get a maid, let me see what are the daily housework that I am doing:-

1. Sweep Floor (Once or twice a week)
2. Mop Floor (Once or twice a week)
3. Laundry (three to 4 times a week)
4. Dry out all the laundry / Folding shirt
5. Wipe the dust (from cabinet/rack etc)
6. Cleaning up the Kitchen
7. Changing Bed Sheet
8. watering the plants
9. Cleaning up my pet
10. Ironing
11. Cooking

Sometimes, I do feel tired, why can't I just come back home and rest. I always do hope that I can have time for myself like finish up my craft. I don't mind to do the house chores but if there is someone who have the same mind like me helping me out and not leaving things for me to do that would be great.

So, my question now what should I do... I can't leave my house being look messy. I really have no idea what am I blogging now but this is just to express myself on how do I feel now.

Happy Mother Dayz...

Wishing all the mother 'Happy Mother's Day'...

"Happy Mother's Day" means more

Than have a happy day.

Within those words lie lots of things

We never get to say.
It means I love you first of all,

Then thanks for all you do.

It means you mean a lot to me.

And that I honor you.
But most of all, I guess it means

That I am thinking of

Your happiness on this, your day

With pleasure and with love.

Lastly, to my beloved mommy, Love you always... thanks for everything...

The Crocodile Hunter

Anyone remember Steve Irwin The Crocodile Hunter? Yesterday I was watching an hour-long show in Astro Animal Planet channel which is called “My Daddy the Crocodile Hunter” hosted by Bindi Irwin. This show is about the details of her life and growing career. She has inherited his legacy and continues his work. It is also serves as a memorial for her father, famed naturalist who died in 2006.

“My Daddy the Croc Hunter” shows the clip from her early childhood and go behind the scenesof some of the most exciting scenes which Bindi & Steve to handle various of wild animals. I am very impressed with how brave is Bindi handling all the wild animals such as snakes, crocodile and iguana. We get to see how Steve Irwin taught his daughter everything she needed to know about wildlife and caring for the habitats. You will also get to see how the father and daughter team on Steve’s last crocodile research adventure in August 2006 where Bindi assisted in some of the most amazing crocodile captures and wildlife experiences in her early age.

This is a must watch show and you will be impressed with this little girl with her braveness with all the wild animals...

Most Popular Destination...Bangkok

Have anyone of you been thinking of holiday???

Yup, of course everyone of us been thinking of holiday right and where to go...

Lately, I have been hearing a lot of my friendz planning to go for holiday to Bangkok. What is so famous there till can attract that much of tourist to go there. Well, I am doing some research and start my blog on Bangkok.

Bangkok is a capital of Thailand. Thailand's is the largest city and one of the leading cities of South East Asia. Bangkok which lies in the heart of the country's major commercial such is rice growing region. Bangkok which now one the busiest in Asia despite these transportation facilities, it is also depends mainly on its numerous canals to carry the commercial product of the surrounding area.

Why is it Bangkok can attract tourist? You will never know that it is a that advance city with convenience transport just like Kuala Lumpur. They have Bangkok MRT where you can travel around Bangkok. Incredible and convenient.

I think I need to save more bullets aka $$$ before planning my trip to Bangkok. As some of my friend been there say there is just like a shopping spree place and you can shop till you drop...

Happy Chinese New Year 2009 – Ox Year

Gong Xi… Gong Xi... to all the Bloggers & Readers and Family…

Hope I am not too late to post this blog at this time. I have managed to grab some information of Ox Year from web and to share with all of you.

Famous Ox People:
Barack Obama
Catherine Freeman
Heather Locklear
Jane Fonda
Jack Nicholson
Juliette Lewis
Margaret Thatcher
Meg Ryan
Meryl Streep
Princess Diana
Vivien Leigh
George Clooney

The Sign of the Ox
Born in the Ox here is invariably solid, dependable and the Oxen people are excellent organizers. They are systematic in their approach to every task they undertake and they are not easily influenced by other’s ideas. Oxen don’t appear to be imaginative though they are capable of good ideas. Although not demonstrative or the most exciting people romantically, they are entirely dependable, and make devoted parents. They are renowned for their patience, but it has its limits – once roused, their temper is a sight to behold. People who born in the year of Ox or Buffalos usually have strong codes and work ethics. This can lead to a tendency to be a workaholic, and they should make an effort to relax more. Ox people are usually strong and robust, and according to ancient wisdom, they should be blessed with long lives.

The Ox home is his castle where he finds relaxation and peace from the everyday hustle and bustle of his career or responsibilities. He also enjoys spending much time in planting gardens and trees. He generally prefers to decorate his home comfortably with nature colors.

Able, ethical and aware, co-workers of the Ox can depend on their eyes for details. Because they are so well-organized, they are better-suited for specialized positions and prefer to work in large companies. They work best when they work alone since they can be unhappy when participating in a large group.

Prediction from Grand Master Yap by The Star
The Ox year ahead will be hard for many but it will also be a time for opportunities, reveals feng shui Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai.

The 82-year-old grand master predicted that despite the difficult times, one would be able to survive with perseverance and hard work.

“When times are hard, you must work hard and not be lazy. God helps those who help themselves.

“Luck comes from hard work and your own ability, and from being thrifty,” He also warned that because cash flow would dry up from July onwards, people should be careful to keep their money and not invest in dubious schemes.

“Money is the king in these bad times. The worse is yet to come. The years 2009 until 2012 will be bad,” he said, adding that the economy would only bounce back in 2013.

However, Yap said the year ahead would be a “golden moment” for young men as this would be the time when “new rich men” were made and “young people would come up” after the era with young successful women, adding that this would last until 2024.

For those born under the sign of the Ox and the Sheep, Yap cautioned them to be very careful as it would not be a good year for them.

He said they should not to take unnecessary risks.

“For those born under the Sheep sign, do not do any digging, repairs or renovation, especially the south-west area,” he said, adding that they should keep quiet and assume a low profile.
Yap said the third and fifth days of the Chinese New Year would be best time to start work and they should go in before 9am and not after 9.30am.

“People should also pray between 11pm and 1am towards the eastern direction for wealth and the southern direction for nobility,” he said.

On the political scene, Yap said there would be many changes before things settle down in the middle of the year.

My Message to all

My sincere heart to drop a big big wishes to say Gong Xi Fa Cai and ‘Huat Huat Huat…’, ‘Fatt Fatt Fatt…’ and ‘Rich Rich Rich…’ to everyone for the Ox Year.

Although it is going to be a though year for some of you but yet you have to work hard to achieve it. Be patient and I am sure you will achieve it successfully…
